◎ ASSASSIN DOCTRINE
Stealth Strike Doctrine
The Assassin doctrine exploits signature management and precision strike. Distortion weapons drain shields and disrupt systems, then EMP or kinetic weapons finish the target. This doctrine excels in PvP and high-value bounties where staying undetected until the final pass is critical.

EMP / Precision Kill

How Distortion Works
- Drain Shields: Distortion damage bypasses armor and hull — it targets shield generators directly. Each hit reduces the target's shield-regen rate.
- Disrupt Systems: Sustained distortion causes temporary weapon/comms/radar blackout on the target.
- Signature Spike: When YOU fire distortion weapons, your EM signature spikes. Time your volley for when the target is distracted or recovering.
- Mitigation: Targets with high shield resistance or regeneration take longer to drain. Armor and hull are largely immune to distortion.
Recommended Ships
Ships optimized for stealth + distortion strike. All have low signature when cold-started, and hardpoints suitable for distortion weaponry or EMP payloads.
Sabre Raven
Stealth Fighter
Purpose-built EMP fighter. Lowest signature in the doctrine. 1× S3 EMP weapon slot. Fragile but devastating in one pass. Best for surgical strikes on isolated targets.
EM Idle
~8000
HP
~3500
Eclipse
Stealth Bomber
Dedicated stealth platform with 3× S9 torpedo hardpoints. Slower, fragile, but can carry heavy ordnance. Suited for anti-capital softening or single-pass high-value targets.
EM Idle
~7500
HP
~4200
Vanguard Sentinel
Heavy Stealth
Heavier stealth ship. 1× S4 EMP weapon. More durable than Raven, but signature creeps higher when you deploy components. Best for targets that can fight back; more forgiving on mistakes.
EM Idle
~9500
HP
~6000
Sabre (Comet variant)
Agile Stealth
Stealth-tuned Sabre with distortion-optimized components. 4× S3 hardpoints for mixed distortion + kinetic. Jack-of-all-trades, but not as specialized as Raven.
EM Idle
~9000
HP
~4000

Tactical Execution
⊕ Stay Cold on Approach
Minimize EM/IR signatures before the pass. Shut down non-essential systems (jump drive, mining laser, etc.). Set power plants to minimal. Your coldest signature is your window.
⊕ Fire Distortion First
Open with distortion alpha to drain shields fast. Sustained fire on shields prevents regeneration. Don't let the target restore even 5% — shield threshold changes are critical.
⊕ EMP on Shield Breach
Once shields drop below 30%, fire EMP or kinetic secondary. Distortion alone won't hull-kill — EMP stuns the target ship and crew for the finishing pass.
⊕ Signature Spike on Fire
Every weapon discharge raises your EM signature. Expect patrol radar to ping you on your first volley. You have ~30 seconds before the target or support assets react — make them count.
⊕ Escape Vector Ready
Plan your NAV jump or boost vector BEFORE the pass. You'll be hot after the strike. Heading for asteroid fields or quantum-locked zones buys you time to cool down.
⊕ Countermeasures Matter
If the target carries heat-lock missiles, deploy flares immediately after your first volley. You'll be vulnerable while cooling down. Chaff also helps mask your position from radar sweeps.
