REFUND & CANCELLATION
This policy covers paid subscriptions to the H.U.D Manager Companion โ the desktop overlay app for Star Citizen. The website and its tools stay free; this applies only if you subscribe to the paid Companion. Subscription billing is handled by PayPal.
What your subscription pays for: You are paying for the Companion app and the convenience of having this information delivered to you live, in-game โ the access and the mechanism โ not for the underlying game data itself. That data is free and publicly available from community sources we link to inside the app (UEX Corp, SC Trade Tools, Erkul.games, Fleetyards, the Star Citizen Wiki), so you can get it yourself at no cost. The Companion runs as a separate window over your screen and does not inject into, read the memory of, modify, or automate the game โ it is not a cheat, hack, or exploit; it passively reads the log file Star Citizen writes to your own PC and displays your own information back to you. H.U.D Manager is an unofficial fan tool, not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Cloud Imperium Games or Roberts Space Industries. “Star Citizen” and “Squadron 42” and all related names, logos, and marks are trademarks of Cloud Imperium Rights LLC, used here only to identify the game this companion is compatible with.
Free trial
Every paid plan starts with a 14-day free trial. You are not charged during the trial. Cancel any time before the trial ends and you pay nothing โ billing only begins after the trial period is over.
Subscription & renewal
- Plans are $2.99 / month or $24.99 / year (USD), billed through PayPal.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
- You keep full access for the entire period you've paid for, even after you cancel.
Cancel anytime
You can cancel whenever you want โ no phone calls, no hoops:
- In the app: Settings โ Subscription โ Cancel, or
- In PayPal: Settings โ Payments โ Automatic payments, select H.U.D Manager and cancel, or
- Email us and we'll cancel it for you.
When you cancel, your subscription stays active until the end of the current billing period, then stops. You will not be charged again.
14-day money-back guarantee
If you're charged and you're not happy, email us within 14 days of that charge and we'll refund it โ no hassle, no interrogation.
Because every plan begins with a free trial, most people never pay unless they've already decided it's worth it. The guarantee is simply there in case you change your mind. After the 14-day window, payments already processed for the current period are non-refundable, but you can cancel anytime to stop all future charges (see above).
Accidental or duplicate charges
Charged twice, charged after you cancelled, or something just looks wrong? Email us and we'll make it right, fast.
Failed renewals
If an automatic renewal fails (expired card, insufficient funds, etc.), your paid features simply pause until the payment goes through โ update your payment method in PayPal to restore access. We never lock you out of loadouts or data you created.
Price changes
If we ever change the price, we'll tell you before it affects you, and you'll have the chance to cancel before the new price applies.
