⚠ Unofficial fan tool. H.U.D Manager is an independently-developed sci-fi ship loadout planning tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Cloud Imperium Games, Roberts Space Industries, or any other entity. “Star Citizen” and “Squadron 42” and all related names, logos, and marks are trademarks of Cloud Imperium Rights LLC, used here only to identify the game this companion is compatible with.

What you're paying for. The paid Overlay is the mechanism — software that delivers information into your cockpit live, without alt-tabbing. You are not paying for game data. All data shown is publicly available from community sources (UEX Corp, SC Trade Tools, Erkul.games, Fleetyards, the Star Citizen Wiki), which we link to inside the app so you can get it yourself, free of charge. The Overlay runs as a separate window over your screen and does not inject into, read the memory of, modify, or automate the game — it is not a cheat, hack, or exploit; it passively reads the log file Star Citizen writes to your own PC and displays your own information back to you. Item, ship, and component images are sourced from the Star Citizen Wiki / starcitizen.tools under the CC-BY-SA 4.0 license and remain the property of their respective owners; “Star Citizen” and related marks are trademarks of Cloud Imperium Games / Roberts Space Industries.

By using H.U.D Manager (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

H.U.D Manager is a planning, calculation, and recommendation tool for sci-fi ship loadouts. It is provided "as is" with no warranty. Game data may go stale between patches; we do our best to keep it current but cannot guarantee accuracy.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old. If you're under 18, your parent or guardian must agree to these Terms on your behalf.

3. Your account & data

You don't need an account for the free tier. If you create one (paid tier), you're responsible for keeping any sign-in credentials safe. We retain the right to suspend accounts that abuse rate limits, attempt to extract bulk data, or violate these Terms.

4. Acceptable use

You agree NOT to:

Scrape the service or attempt to bulk-export user data
Probe for security vulnerabilities without coordinating disclosure first
Submit content that's illegal, hateful, harassing, or violates IP rights
Attempt to bypass rate limits or paid-tier restrictions
Use the Service to generate content that violates Cloud Imperium Games's fan-content guidelines

5. Paid subscriptions & billing

The website and its web tools are free with no account required. The Companion overlay is an optional paid subscription billed through PayPal.

Pricing: $1.99 first month, then $2.99 / month — or $24.99 / year (USD), with a 14-day free trial for new subscribers.
Auto-renewal: subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period until cancelled.
Cancellation: you can cancel anytime through your PayPal account or by contacting us. Access continues until the end of the current paid period.
Free trial: the trial converts to a paid subscription automatically unless cancelled before the trial period ends.
Price changes: we'll notify you in-app and by email at least 30 days before any price increase. You can cancel before the new price applies.

"Your subscription pays for the Companion app and the convenience of delivering this information to you live, in-game — the access and the mechanism — not for the underlying game data itself, which is free and derived from the game and public community sources."

6. Intellectual property

The Service's code, original art (silhouettes, UI design, doctrine writeups), and AI-generated content are owned by us or the contributors. You may use them for personal use within the app.

Game-related data (ship names, component stats, weapon specs) is factual information about a third-party game, used for compatibility purposes. We do not claim ownership of any third-party trademarks, names, or imagery.

If you believe content in the Service infringes your IP, contact us at [email protected] with the URL, the work allegedly infringed, and your contact info. We respond to valid notices within 7 days.

7. AI Assist disclaimer

The AI Assist feature uses third-party AI models (Google Gemini, Groq, Cloudflare Workers AI) to generate suggestions. Output is best-effort and may contain errors, hallucinated component names, or stale game data. Do not rely on AI output for any safety-critical decision. Verify against official game data before purchasing in-game items.

8. Termination

You can stop using the Service anytime. We can suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we shut the Service down. We'll notify subscribers and pro-rate any unused subscription time.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind. We don't promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose. Game data accuracy is best-effort, not guaranteed.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Our total liability is capped at the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, or USD $50, whichever is greater.

11. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Disputes will be resolved by binding individual arbitration; you waive class-action rights.

12. Changes

If we materially change these Terms, the "last updated" date at the top changes and we'll show a notice in-app. Continued use after the change means you accept the new Terms.
